Mohammad Shohrab Hossain

Mohammad Shohrab Hossain has been a Nominee Director of Sun Life Insurance Company Ltd. since November 2023 and is the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) at Green Delta Capital Limited. He has led landmark deals, including Bangladesh’s first overseas acquisition and cross-border M&A in Malaysia and the country’s first Moody’s-certified Sustainability Bond.

With over 16 years of experience in finance and strategy, Mr. Shohrab specializes in structured finance, debt syndication, M&A advisory, renewable energy project financing, and equity transactions. His leadership has strengthened GDCL’s position as a top investment bank in Bangladesh and expanded its global partnerships with financial institutions and investors.

He began his career at A.K Khan Telecom and later worked in Banglalink’s treasury team, where he contributed to Bangladesh’s only foreign currency bond issuance. He holds an MBA in Finance from AIUB and has completed leadership training at IBA, DU.
